Golf Outing Sponsorship Materials
Supporting the annual golf outing by obtaining sponsorships is one way to help raise funds for your band student and for the entire band. Proceeds from the August 11, 2019, golf outing will support travel to Hawaii for the Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade trip, honoring our veterans December 4-8, 2020.
Students will receive 40% of the proceeds from every sponsorship they obtain in their student accounts. The band will receive 60% of the proceeds which will be used to provide every student traveling a subsidy, assuming they have completed their volunteer shift in every year they are in high school. The top-level sponsorships include a team of four golfers. If the sponsor sends four golfers, the [actual] cost of golfing is deducted from the sponsorship amount before determining the 60/40 split.
If you want to ask your friends and family members with businesses to sponsor, that is a great place to start. You can also ask businesses in the Brighton area and surrounding communities. If a sponsor has been obtained in recent years by a current band student, they have first rights to contact that sponsor and receive the credit. A list of those sponsors can be found here. If you have talked to businesses, please enter the business name, the result of the conversation, and student's name on this sheet. If it is used, it will be the best way to know which businesses have been contacted.

What do you need? The forms below should accompany every request. Please, if possible, bring your student with you and have them help with asking for the sponsorship. Remember to explain why the band needs the help of our community and stress that Brighton is the only band from the State of Michigan marching in the parade for this momentous occasion, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II. It is our greatest honor to pay respect through our participation to our veterans, active duty military, and to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the attack on Pearl Harbor.
